The March 2026 newsletter linked resident safety and estate security directly to owner responsibility.

Tenant compliance

Owners must ensure that tenants follow movement and tenancy rules. Before a new tenant moves in, valid identification such as a South African ID or passport should be provided.

Short-term rentals and guest vetting

Where guests are hosted through platforms such as Airbnb, owners should vet them properly before confirming bookings. Verified profiles, prior reviews, and identification checks all reduce avoidable security risk.

Guest details submission

Residents were asked to submit the following information to estate security before guest arrival:

  • full names and ID or passport numbers
  • contact details
  • vehicle make, model, colour, and registration number
  • check-in and check-out dates and times

Access management

Access codes should be managed carefully and updated regularly to prevent misuse and to protect all residents.
